Positivity is contagious!

*Warning: This post will be long, full of quotes and will turn you into a positive bug. Read at your own risk.*

*Too long as this is my advice to my 20 year old self.*

I do not know where to start, I do not know how will this post end but all I know is, this will help you, me and the entire human race in the long run, mark my words! Positivity is that one human emotion which is also related to energy and that is why, we often come across the term called ‘positive energy.’ Like, I said, positivity is contagious and more contagious is negativity. People easily get attracted to the wrong feelings and emotions because it is easy. Humans also love wallowing in self pity and find extreme happiness in showcasing themselves as the victims of their luck and life.

    • Be the heroine of your life and not a victim.

Positivity is a lifestyle and  way of living. Positivity is also a phase in someone’s life and positivity sets everything right. The more positive you become, the more people around you start being happy and content. You spread positivity to the people you love and they give back that positivity. This is where, the concept of Karma should be projected. Karma says, what goes around comes around, for instance, if you tell negative stuff about the people around you, the less people will talk to you and you will become a complete lone soul.

Few theories in life go hand in hand, like, positivity, love and karma. When you have people who love you, they automatically bring a lot of positivity along with them and that positivity is spread among everyone. That’s why it is very important to have a good family, amazing friends and extraordinary mentors who will always have something nice to tell about you.

Even the photo above calls for the same thing, surround yourself with the people who believe in you and your dreams. Everyone’s dream ain’t the same, some dream to earn big bucks and some dream of contentment and sense of fulfillment. No matter which academic background you come from, you are free to have dreams that either pay you or complete you. You may have degrees from the best universities but maybe your joy lies in teaching or writing. Your dream can also be earning loads of money though you come from the least known academic background or colleges.

Dreams don’t need reasons or logics, dreams need passion and beliefs.

Dreams don’t let you sleep at night, they keep you awake and you continuously work to make them true. Yes, dreams do come true!

There is a constant competition between people who earn to live a better and luxurious life. Even in 21st century, competition for a few mean, competing with the other mortal who will perish with us. Competition means to be a better version of yourself, each day, each hour and each second. You are not well off if you have better bank balance than your neighbour, you are well off only when you love yourself and have peace of mind.

Sometimes, when you are on a journey of self discovery and self love, you come across people who will pull you down. They are called haters. When you are busy loving yourself, growing and learning more and more, they sit back and hate you. Do not be affected because they can do no harm to you. You know why? You are positive, you are working on yourself, loving yourself and there, you win! Another concept or lesson of life comes into play here and we have heard about this moral since childhood. ‘Good over Evil.’ Till you are not speaking, talking or doing something wrong to others and constantly working on yourself, you are good. Good always wins. Always! Don’t harm and don’t get harmed. Remember, Karma is watching!

Along with your growth comes a lot of people who cannot digest your success, who are negative and have no aim in life. They feel inferior to you and therefore always speak behind your back, dare them to speak infront of you and they won’t utter a word. They cannot, they know, they are wrong.

Inferiority complexes happen when you have extremely high and unrealistic goals, the goals that are well above your reach. That doesn’t mean you need to be a genius, you just need a reality check. Also, a genius is not the one who has achieved all in his life or never seen a failure, for me, a genius is someone who can handle every situation, stay positive and spread positivity no matter what happens. A genius never gives up!

I am at a place where I have just started working towards my dreams and trust me, all of the hard works have bore fruits. I wouldn’t be having such peace of mind and happiness if I would be competing with my other software counterparts. I have so much to learn and grow, miles to go before I sleep. There are people who are envious, there are people who feel inferior and also, there are people whom I trust with my life. Thank you all of you for loving me so much!

Too much of talking, too many advices, all I can tell is, all of you will go through this phase when you will think that you are losing friends and no one understands you, keep calm and let the storm pass! Every cloud has a silver lining and it takes time for the cloud to rain away till then, wait. During this endless waiting do not indulge into something negative. Always remember, think before talking and you become what you think.

To all the people who are constantly, endlessly and tirelessly working on yourself, I am glad that you are already stepping up and to everyone who are jealous and spreading negativity, Karma says hii! 😊

Life will slap you to shape, it is on you to be figured or disfigured! All The Best!

Ramaiya Vastavaiya. Magic Movie Review – Revisiting the evergreen love stories!

    • WARNING : This is going to be an elaborated movie review, please grab some popcorn.
    • The actual review starts after 3rd para, skip the first three paras if you don’t want to suffer serious positivity disorder.

Today afternoon I was watching this movie again and it suddenly struck to me that, do these kind of love stories still exists? The entire point of a movie being filmed is that, somewhere something similar must have happened. Yes, not exactly the whole movie but a part of it around which the entire movie revolves. In real life, we do not have those background songs and dancers but wouldn’t you be lying if you disagree to the fact that you couldn’t actually find a song whose lyrics completely suit you or your situation? This is the whole thing about Bollywood movies, a part of the film actually has happened to someone sometime! Please let me know if any scene of any movie looked inspired from an instance in your life.

To support my view, let’s take an example of Ramaiya Vastavaiya itself. A boy meets a girl in a marriage, falls in love, issues start coming up with the families because of the difference in financial status and still they get married conquering all of these. Love and positivity wins like always. Haven’t this happened in anyone’s life earlier? So, what is new? Why should you watch this movie? Above all, does such love stories exists?

We always blame Tollywood for their over the top action sequences but conveniently forget the amazing romantic movies they give us and Ramaiya Vastavaiya is one of them. The original movie is called,“Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana” starring Siddharth and Trisha. The movie was released in 2005 and has been such a huge hit that it has been remade in almost every language.

Ramaiya Vastavaiya has few of the veteran actors and they have still not lost their panache. They look very realistic on screen along with the lead actors, Shruthi Hassan and debutant, Girish Kumar. I would like to add that Girish Kumar is a phenomenal actor and perfectly plays the role of boy next door. He looks extremely cute and his curly hair adds to the cuteness quotient. Yes, he looks less manly when it comes to the scenes that require a man with more rugged looks and sculpted body. Nevertheless, I will give him a 4.5/5 for his fabulous acting. We know, Shruthi Hassan is a brilliant actress and is blessed with delicate features that perfectly complement her role in this movie. She is a shy and coy village girl who loves her brother to the core, this is proved by the way she carries her toy horse everywhere which is gifted by her brother. I love her acting in this movie and would rate her 5/5.

The film begins with Ashwini (Poonam Dhillon) being portrayed as a woman who prefers money over relationships and her husband Siddharth (Randheer Kapoor) who is not as money minded as his wife. Ram (Girish Kumar) is their only son and considers his father to be his best friend. A lovely adorable bond the father and son duo share which is even highlighted later in the movie. The story kick starts when Ram and Ashwini visit India for a cousin’s wedding, that is when Ram and Sona (Shruthi Hassan) fall in love. Sona is the best friend of Ram’s cousin, Riya ( Anchal Singh).

After a bit of playing around and saving Ram’s cousin from a blackmailer, they fall in love. They do all the lovey dovey things that all the couple do, from staring at each other to try to be around each other and singing romantic songs. All these emotions are shown in the purest of manner and no vulgarity is posed. The twist comes when Sona is accused of trapping rich boys and is asked to leave the wedding. Ram is away from home and is not aware of the recent developments. Raghuveer (Sonu Sood) enters the scene and walks away with his sister, Sona. Ram returns and is disheartened by Sona leaving the wedding without informing him, he later learns that Sona did not leave the wedding intentionally. He then decides to go to her village and get married to her.

Ram has to win a challenge in order to marry Sona and after that every mortal who was against this marriage tried every hook and crook for Ram to lose. Like always and yet again, love and positivity wins! The entire phase is filmed so beautifully with Sona doing certain sacrifices for Ram and Ram in turn working as hard as he can to win Raghuveer’s heart. Is Ram able to do that?

Find out by watching the movie!

The plus points of this movie is, the songs, the dialogues and the amazing story telling skill. The two most beautiful songs of the movie is:

    1. https://youtu.be/qpIdoaaPa6U

Heart touching lyrics with magical voice of Shreya Ghoshal and Atif Aslam weaves a dreamy aura and makes sure, you are lost in it’s webs!

“Milne lage dil, pehle se zyada, pehle se zyada, ishq hone laga!”

    2. https://youtu.be/zRaoAWEY9Jo

Another magical song by Shreya Ghoshal and Atif Aslam!

“Asar yeh kaisa teri chaahat ka hai mujhpe ho gaya, Zarra zarra mere dil ka ab tujh mein hi kho gaya,

Meharbaan woh rab barsa hai jab se tu hai mil gaya, Tujhko pa ke aisa laage ke khud se hoon mil gaya!”

The one part I love the most in the movie is when Siddharth asks Ram what would happen if he loses the challenge, to which Ram replies with uber serenity telling, he never thought of losing. This reminded me so much of a person who keeps telling to never think of losing, never think negative!

Then Siddharth tells that love has made him crazy to which Ram again replies with utmost calm, saying that the same love that brought him here is the same love that pulled Siddharth here and thus leaving him spellbound!

This movie has my heart and I will give it a 5/5 for all the positivity, love and flawless screenplay! A special appreciation to Shiraz Ahmed for such amazing dialogues.

    Watch the movie for sure!

    Positivity is contagious, beware!

Few Things Left Unsaid – Sudeep Nagarkar. Book Review.

Few Things Left Unsaid is the debut book of an amazing writer and novelist, Sudeep Nagarkar. This book was published in 2011 and was followed by five more books till 2015. The book is a romantic fiction and qualifies as a good read if you are looking for something subtle yet intriguing and emotional. Also, the book will remind most of the engineers of their good old engineering days.

Our protagonist, Aditya, goes through a helluva ride before getting an admission into an elite engineering college, I am sure, we all have been through the, ‘college counselling phase.’ He is sure that he doesn’t want to become an engineer but gives in to his parents hope. Aditya is backed up with the most powerful weapon one needs to survive a four year long course, ‘friends.’ His friends who have been with him throughout and played a major part in this book. They bunked classes together, drank together and smoked together! You know that engineering jazz!

Aditya has a pretty boring life till a girl, Riya, enters and makes his pretty boring life a bit interesting. Life is not a bed of roses and Aditya realises that soon. Having a few KT(Keep terms) and his mom who is suspicious about Riya and him, he finally confesses to his mother about their relationship. Riya promises to make Aditya study and take care of him but is Riya able to keep up her promise or she fails to deliver it?

To find out, read the book!

A few things may seem too cheesy like the couple calling each other cute names, crying at every emotional moment and being stupidly in love, but, trust me, these stuff keeps happening in real life too! The entire book is based on positivity and love, about how two people fall in love, fight, separate, get hitched with someone else but at the end, they get back to each other realising that love happens only once and the rest feelings are momentary attractions that fade away in a couple of days.

A notable mention goes to Mr.Banerjee who tells this epic line and I definitely live by it, “Love cannot be wrong but the girl maybe.” How can loving someone be wrong in anyway? Maybe you love the wrong person, maybe someone else deserves that love and maybe you are yet to find a soulmate! Also, this book subtly highlights the existence of soulmates.

I would rate this book a 3.5/5. The only reason I would not give a 5 is that, these stories are well known to people already and though I was awaiting for the end but the end was already known and expected!

Tired of the distance between them, she often complained.

“You have lost all the charm and I am not going to fall for you again!” She teased.

“Will you marry me and grow old with me?” He asked and she fell for him again, like myriad times!

An open letter to Best Friend!

    Dear, Best Friend!

It’s surprising that how the distance between us never mattered and how our bonds have become stronger over the past few months! I never thought that we have to go through this phase of another little separation before we can actually stay together, forever. But then, it’s okay, only when you are away from each other for miles is when we understand the value of each other more.

We were always excited about getting a new job and moving to a new city, little did I know that I have to move away from you too. Trust me, today where I stand, I can only see darkness, sorrows and homesickness in the coming future but again I am reminded of all the times, you were there to pull me out of all the troubles. Yes, I know, you will always tell that you have done nothing for me but let me tell you one thing, I have shared with you the deepest secrets of my life, secrets that even parents wouldn’t know and you like a good friend always showed me the right path, isn’t that enough?

It could be a little hard to digest for people about how we bonded so much, it still takes me by amaze that it just took a few minutes with each other to understand that this friendship is forever! I will miss you truckloads but what I will miss more is the essence of you being beside me and also, the good food that you cook!
I know, you will tell that I will find a lot of people in the new place to hang out with, you will tell that I will find another home there, you will tell that I will have people to go to when I feel homesick but what I won’t find is You. I won’t find You there anywhere and that is painful! I won’t find another best friend like you and no mortal can ever replace you!

I know, I still have time to leave this place which I call my home but I don’t know why I miss you already. Amongst all these, I promise to be there whenever you need me, I promise, I will always be the good girl you know, I promise to give you missed calls as you are the one who calls me and I promise, I will pay you a visit every three months. You can come over to my place too once everything settles down and I promise, I will make time for you.

Meanwhile, let’s spend glorious time together till when I am here and let’s make memories that we will cherish, for now and forever! I love you and I know, you love me more!

    Guddu. 🙂

It has been five long years since then!

We all have those cute, little stories in our childhood that actually are so close to our heart and we can never forget them. Some of them, change us as a person and few of them doesn’t matter to us anymore. Out of all the moments we spend, few moments don’t seem to die no matter how much we try and yes that rhymed! Few relationships that start during this time may last forever and few that don’t last, always need a closure at one point or the other in life.

The bunch of friends, many hands in one tiffin box and that one person in school for whom we actually go to school. At a tender age of 13-14, we don’t know how it is to be in love, all we know is the essence of love. I believe, love in that age is the purest. You don’t know why you love the person, you just do. You have no expectations from the person neither you take any vows of forever together nor there are any feelings of lust that in general the grown up relationships have. You just need those little moments with the person and your day is complete, you don’t need long hours spent over phone to spend bucks to make them happy.

Tarana was 4 years old when she first met Rick, they were together in the kindergarten. As far as Tarana remembers, they used to eat and spent their tiffin break together, they were also benchmates. Years passed by, they again were classmates in their fifth grade, though not that close yet they used to speak random stuff. What stuff will even fifth graders speak?

The next year, during their sixth grade, they became pretty close. They again were the benchmates, they used to chase each other during tiffin break and stole glances during class hours. For Tarana, this was more than enough, seeing Rick happy and playful was like a boon to her. They grew up a little more, and when they were in ninth or tenth grade, Tarana found out that someone wrote her name in the boy’s washroom. That was such a matter of shame! Tarana was still looking around for solution when her friend told her that Rick already erased her name from the bathroom. Tarana sighed in relief! Even when once Rick was suffering from viral fever, Tarana stopped doing all that she liked, went to the temple everyday and fasted every alternate day. When Rick came to school the next week her joy knew no bounds!

They became significantly close during the final few years of schooling. Rick asked her email id and Tarana created her first mail id for Rick though he mentioned it very clearly that no one should know that they are in contact. They used to mail each other day in and day out and they often spoke about how good their relationship is! Rick used to switch off his online status so that no one else could disturb them seeing him online, this made Tarana feel special. Someday Rick confessed something to Tarana that she made her feel important in his life. It was an addiction that Rick had, when he told this to her, she was shattered yet she gathered all the courage and mailed Rick that they will start anew, she had an unbreakable trust in him. That day, Rick named her “Sweet Tara.”

The whole school knew about them because Rick’s behaviour and Tarana’s inclination towards him was something that was unhidden. Tarana thought that they were meant to be together but then came the time for board exams which was pretty much difficult for every student. Rick started moving away from Tarana telling that he needs to study and also prepare for his competitive exams. Tarana moved away as gracefully as she could because she always knew that he would come back.

March 24th, 2011, when they completed their board exams, Tarana thought that Rick will be back and she called him. They spoke few hours about how was their exams and which college are they joining. While, it was time to cut the calls, Tarana told Rick how she feels for him. She kept asking Rick to stay but he told that his competitive exams are more important for him. With tears running down her cheeks, she asked him to stay for one last time and he still refused. Tarana was left devastated.

Five years of absolute no contacts, Tarana only knew where he was and what he was doing and so did Rick. Rick didn’t make it to his dream college and that hurt Tarana more than anything on this planet. Rick silently stalked her and always wished for her well being. After five years, Rick texted her and Tarana was filled with joy again though this time there was no love, she always looked for that one answer that only Rick could give her. Yesternight, she got her answer from Rick and all the clouds that were surrounding her thoughts, cleared, for once and forever!

Rick told her that she fell in love with an illusion that he created and not the actual Rick. The actual Rick is brutal and cold and he had no feelings for her at all. She was just his convenience for so many years. It wasn’t his mistake, it was hers that even after such long years, she wanted him back not as a lover but as a friend around whom her childhood revolved.

Tarana learnt the most important lesson of her life, give without expectations. Thank you Rick for this and remember, Karma is watching!
